Half day sightseeing tour of Sofia: the St. Nedelia Square, the St. George Rotunda, the National Theatre, Alexander Batenberg Square with Royal Palace, the Russian Church St. Nikolay, the St. Alexander Nevki Cathedral, the St. Sofia Roman Church. 3 day: Sofia – Monastery of Rila - Plovdiv.
Breakfast. Departure for Rila Monastery situated at the heart of the mountain – founded in the 10 th century by Ivan Rilski as cultural center and has been the engine of Bulgarian cultural life. Departure to Plovdiv. Overnight in Plovdiv.
4 day: Plovdiv – Kazanlak – Plovdiv.
Breakfast. Sightseeing tour of Plovdiv - an old centre of the country as an exterior museum of old Bulgarian architecture and decoration. It is famous for its old small streets with beautiful flowers, craftsmen workshops, and excavations made from the tourist complex. Sightseeing tour of the old city of Plovdiv - the Kuymdjiglu House /Ethnographic Museum/, the St.St. Konstantin and Elena Church, the Antique Theatre. Departure for the Rose Valley of Kazanlak - a beautiful region where the oil-bearing rose grows, obtaining 70% of the rose oil. Rose oil is used as a base of perfume products' making as well as lotion and cream products' making. Demonstration of typical Bulgarian dresses from all the parts of the country and participation of typical dances. Gala dinner. Opening of the Rose festival. Return to Plovdiv. Overnight stay.
5 day: Plovdiv – Kazanlak – Plovdiv.
Breakfast. Departure for the Rose valley. Rose-picking –parting rose leaves. Visit of rose oil depot, where you will see the rose production and will taste the rose liquor and “banitsa”- typical Bulgarian dish. Visit of the Historical museum In Kazanlak. Lunch-barbeque. Visit to the Museum of Roses and Thracian tomb /copy/. Taste of the main wine varieties and three varieties of awarded rose wine. Dinner. Return to Plovdiv. Overnight stay.
6 day: Plovdiv – Kazanlak – Etara – Veliko Tarnovo.
Breakfast. Departure for Kazanlak. Visit to the cosmetic factory. Visit to the original Thracian tomb Ostrusha. Carnival procession. Closure of the festival. Departure and visit to the Russian church of Shipka. Departure for Etara -open-air Ethnographic Museum, which shows 26 Bulgarian crafts - they have been practised in the past ages. Departure for Veliko Tarnovo. Accommodation. Overnight stay.
7 day: Veliko Tarnovo – Arbanassi – Monastery of Troyan – Sofia.
Breakfast. Sightseeing tour of Veliko Tarnovo, the most beautiful city of Bulgaria. Visit to Tzarevetz hill: the small gate, the south wall, the Baldouin Tower and the Palace of the Patriarch. Departure for Arbanassi- the residence of rich king families which built their remarkable houses dating from ancient times. Visit to Arbanassi. In the afternoon - departure for Sofia. On the way- visit to the Monastery of Troyan. Accommodation in Sofia.
8 day: Sofia
